A lot of troubleshooting is also written just for windows. Tried deleting the old version, installing a direct dowlonaded dmg from Adobe (its an older version sadly, not 9.0) and then update it. Tried giving permissions to all the folders specified in the error (see attached), no result. So they tried to update and the adobe creative cloud desktop app told them Lightroom classic was up to date. They tried to open their 11.2 catalogue on their mac on-site and it said the catalogue was too new.
I always get error 146 (update stops at 76 percent). They are using the mac on site and work on version 11.2 on windows from home. I had an older version of LR classic, and I wanted to update to the latest - 9.0.
